The Teacher (2022): Plot
Devika, a school teacher, wakes up confused and can’t remember the previous day. She discovers she’s pregnant, but she’s also traumatized from a past incident when she was raped by college students. She keeps this information a secret from her husband, Sujith, who is a nurse. Devika visits a student’s home and records the conversation on her phone. Sujith confronts her, and she admits to the rape, expressing anger about the pregnancy. Devika wants to report the incident to the police, but Sujith discourages her. Later, Devika finds a police informant and meets a student who pretends to be interested in her sexually. When they confront her, she fights the students using her martial arts skills. Devika eventually tells Sujith that she doesn’t need him in her life but intends to keep the baby.
