Mersal (2017): Plot
An ambulance driver, medical broker, hospital worker, and surgeon are abducted. Dr. Maaran, a doctor from Chennai, is arrested as he reveals his dual personality. His alter ego, Vetri, seeks justice against corrupt doctors. The backstory reveals a hospital tragedy caused by corrupt doctors, leading to a revenge plot. Maaran and Vetri reconcile and expose the corruption. In the end, Vetri is arrested but escapes to continue his mission. Maaran becomes the head of the Indian Medical Council.
