Iru Mugan (2016): Plot
An elderly man goes on a violent rampage at the Indian Embassy in Malaysia, which is linked to a rogue scientist named Love. Love had previously killed Akhilan’s wife. Akhilan, a retired RAW agent, is brought back to investigate. Love uses a dangerous drug called “Speed.” Akhilan and a fellow agent, Aayushi, try to stop Love’s drug shipment but are captured. Akhilan discovers his supposedly deceased wife, Meera, is working with Love. Meera has amnesia, but the drug triggers her memory. Love escapes police custody, and Akhilan and Meera go after her. Love frames Akhilan for a murder, forcing them to flee. They seek to stop Love using a kill switch. Akhilan succeeds, deactivating Meera’s kill switch and stopping Love’s terrorist plans, while keeping a Speed inhaler for himself.
