Shatamanam Bhavati (2017): Plot
Raghavaraju is a farmer in Andhra Pradesh, and he lives in his ancestral home with his wife Janakamma, nephew Bangararaju, Bangararaju’s wife, and their son Raju. After a gap of ten years, Raghavaraju’s own children, Ravi, Kalyan, and their sister Jhansi, return to the village during the Makara Sankranti festival. During their visit, they receive an unexpected email from Raghavaraju, expressing his desire to divorce his wife, Janakamma. Amidst all this, Nithya, who is Jhansi’s daughter, secretly falls in love with Raju but keeps her feelings to herself. Eventually, they manage to reunite Raghavaraju with his wife, but Raghavaraju insists that his children should proceed with the divorce. In response, Raju takes the step of sending divorce papers to a lawyer. However, after some reflection, the children realize their mistake in avoiding their parents.
Jhansi eventually accepts Raju and Nithya’s marriage, and they all come together to celebrate the Sankranti and Ugadi festivals as a united family.
