Kurup (2021): Plot
Krishnadas, a retired SP of Kerala Police, comes across a case diary titled ‘Kurup.’ It tells the story of a fugitive named Sudhakara Kurup. Kurup, originally named Gopikrishna Kurup, is forced into the Indian Air Force after failing to complete his degree. He later marries Sharadamma but goes on to marry his office clerk and right-hand man, Sabu, while working in Persia. Back in Kerala, Kurup’s co-brother, Pillechan Bhasippilla, and personal driver, Ponnachan, hatch a plan to fake Kurup’s death. Pillechan confesses to killing Kurup due to a rivalry between them. Das and his team eventually track down Kurup at a lodge, thanks to information from Isaac, Kurup’s longtime friend. Isaac informs the police about Kurup’s plan to escape on a cruise ship.
