Salute (2022): Plot
Aravind Karunakaran, a police officer, and his team, including his brother Ajith, mistakenly arrest Murali, thinking he’s the actual killer. They create fake evidence against him but later discover that someone else is the real culprit. Aravind retires from the police force but returns to his hometown to find clues that can prove Murali’s innocence. He investigates the serial killer using fake identities, but the real killer dies in a car accident. Aravind uses this as evidence to free Murali, while his colleagues are suspended from their duties. The movie ends with Aravind reading a letter from the killer, acknowledging his discoveries.
