Prakash, a rookie cop, teams up with SP Loganathan and technical assistant Veena to investigate a series of brutal murders in Trichy. The victims, all young women, were strangled, knocked out, and kidnapped. Initially at odds, Prakash and Loganathan form a strong bond as they suspect a psychopathic killer behind the crimes. They also discover similarities to unsolved murders from the 1970s. Loganathan investigates the old cases undercover, while Prakash looks into readers of books about pressure points. Kennedy, the son of a deceased inspector connected to the old cases, becomes a suspect. Prakash finds Kennedy’s name in a relevant book.
Though they lack concrete evidence, Prakash and Loganathan focus on Kennedy, even after another suspect commits suicide. Prakash gets caught but uncovers evidence during dinner at Kennedy’s. Loganathan rescues him. Kennedy confesses to the 1970s murder but denies recent killings, claiming he was forced to reveal his methods. Prakash and Loganathan still suspect him. Kennedy detonates an explosion to hide his past. Prakash discovers a distinct alarm sound, linking it to a suspect with a dimple-cheeked wife. They chase him to a forest, rescue Veena, and Prakash kills the killer. In the end, Loganathan and Veena recover, and Prakash helps a troubled boy in his neighborhood with a music player.
